I’ll be out on well deserved holidays for the entire next week. I’ll be back on 6th of April 2007. As you can expect, there will be no updates or blog posts during this time. I had planned a week by week review of all World Cup matches but unfortunately, there won’t be any review this week. However, there’s no reason to be disappointed just yet as I’ll be posting a grand review of the entire Super 8 stage once I return from my trip.

World Cup 2007 Week 2

The 2nd week of ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 turned out to be a disaster for billions of sub-continental cricket fans. The week began on a bright note for the Indian cricket team. Playing against Bermuda, the mighty Indian batting line up piled up a massive total of 413/5 in 50 overs. This is the highest total recorded in any World Cup match beating the 398 scored by Sri Lanka few years ago. The Indians then went on to win the match (or shall we call it a mis-match) by a record margin of 257 runs.

World Cup 2007 Week 1

Week 1 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 was as exciting as it could get. It had everything true cricket lovers would have hoped for. The week started with the opening clash between West Indies and Pakistan. In a close encounter, West Indies managed to beat Pakistan by a handsome 54 runs. This loss meant Pakistan will have to beat the other two teams in its group to reach the Super 8 stage.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2007

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 is all set to go. The event was officially opened last night with a grand and colourful ceremony. Former West Indian great Sir Garfield Sobers declared the competition open in front of a 10,000 plus strong crowd. This edition of the ICC World Cup will be held at the Caribbean Islands and will last for a month and a half. The matches will start off on the 13th of March 2007 while the Grand Finale will be played on the 28th of April 2007. Sixteen of the best cricketing nations will be testing out their skills in this battle of the giants. While the minnows aren’t expected to match the tougher opponents, there will be no shortage of spark and commitment.

Criket 2007

Now that we are fast approaching the start of Cricket World Cup 2007, I thought its the best time to write a review of the latest cricket offering from EA Sports. The new edition of the game is brilliantly done and is a lot better than EA Sports all previous cricket titles. Obviously, there are areas for improvement but we expect EA to come up with better titles year after year. I’ve posted the complete EA Sports Cricket 2007 PC Review at TechEnclave. Given below are the extracts from the same review.
